What is Myotherapy?

Myotherapy (musculoskeletal therapy) is a comprehensive approach to treating musculoskeletal pain and injury. We don’t just treat symptoms – we assess your whole body to understand what’s causing your discomfort and address the root issues.

Treatment techniques include:
Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, dry needling, cupping, Graston technique (instrument-assessed soft tissue mobilisation), fascial stretching, and prescriptive exercises.
Your Myotherapist selects and tailors techniques based on your specific condition and recovery goals.

Our practitioners hold Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy) degrees and continually advance their expertise through professional development.

Is Myotherapy Right for Me?

If you’re experiencing aches and pains, headaches, neck or back discomfort, joint stiffness, neurological symptoms, or reduced flexibility – Myotherapy can help. These symptoms often indicate underlying issues like strain, postural stress, overuse injury, muscular imbalances, or chronic conditions.

Your 75-minute initial consultation includes:

– Medical and injury history review
– Postural and skeletal alignment assessment
– Range of movement and muscle strength testing
– Orthopedic and neurological evaluation
– Hands-on treatment tailored to your needs

If your Myotherapist determines you need a different form of therapy, they’ll refer you to the appropriate healthcare provider.

Why follow-up appointments matter:

For most pain conditions and injuries, lasting relief comes from a series of targeted treatments – not a single session. Follow-ups allow us to track your progress, refine treatment techniques that work for you, and address underlying causes. This is especially important for chronic conditions where multiple contributing factors need attention over time.
